saana & haviva

Saana was born and raised in Finland. She immigrated to Israel in 2000.
Studied at the Visual Communication Department in Bezalel The Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, and graduated in 2006 with a B.A Design degree.

As a Finnish born graphic designer – she is naturally influenced by her Nordic background in its form of functionality and clear visual aesthetics. She fell in love with paper products and stationary long ago in her childhood, growing up in Finland, back in the 80’s.
She loves natural materials, soft minimalism, green plants and home styling.
Believes that there has to be something more meaningful and deeper than just pure beauty in her design process.

Haviva was born in the United States to an American mother and Finnish father. In 1987, Haviva moved to Israel with her family and grew up in the Western Galilee. In 2007, Haviva completed a degree in Computer Animation and Illustration in the Minshar Institute of Art, in Tel Aviv.

As she describes, Haviva has been an artist in heart for as long as she can remember. Already as a young child, she would experiment with different materials and go for “inspirational journeys”, as she would call them, around her home. After living in Tel Aviv for 12 years, Haviva returned to the Galilee to raise her children in a more rural environment, Influenced by the nature surrounding her and the beauty of life itself. Haviva continues her artistic and creative journey and mainly creates Linocut prints.
